On Friday, November 20th at the Alliance for the Arts, 2015 Festival President Anne Cartier accepted a check on behalf of the Edison Festival of Light from the Southwest Florida Community Foundation. The Arts & Attractions grant is awarded to organizations that strengthen the arts, culture and attractions industry in Lee County. The Edison Festival of Light is proud to present a range of events, most of which are free, to the community through the February celebration that will be celebrating the 77th year of illuminating Southwest Florida in 2015.
If you have a LEE COUNTY or CITY OF FORT MYERS business tax certificate, you must provide a copy of it with your application. The vendors not holding a Business Tax in either of those two jurisdictions need to complete the City of Fort Myers Temporary Vendor Tax Receipt Application that is attached in the Festival applications. States sales tax number has nothing to do with “Business Tax.” (Thank you to the City of Fort Myers for helping us clear this up!)
We have our 2015 Grand Parade and Food Vendor applications now available on EdisonFestival.org! We will be adding the rest very soon so you can get a jump on your ideas for the 77th anniversary!
Reminder: This is the last week that you are able to purchase raffle tickets at the Festival office.
$1 per ticket for: Chico’s jewelry, Bert Blyleven signed ball, Ryan Lavarnway signed ball, 4 pack of Tervis Tumblers, Casey Kotchman signed ball, DJ Campbell signed pennant, and Jose Lobaton signed baseball.
$5 per ticket for: round-trip airline ticket.
