A fun run immediately prior to the Junior Parade is open for children fifth grade and below. Grades 4 & 5 run a mile, grade 3 runs three-quarters of a mile, grade 1 & 2 runs half a mile, kindergarten students runs one-quarter mile, and all below run 50-75 yards. The Fort Myers Track Club helps to make this a fantastic active event for the children! $5.00 entry fee includes t-shirt and ribbon
Pre-register at Run Florida inside The Training Ground 13211 McGregor Blvd.

The Junior Parade is celebrating its 64th year and will continue to offer old-fashioned family fun. This smaller version of the Grand Parade features family floats, wagons, dance troupes, marching bands and more! Please come and be part of the tradition!

This regal event awards Junior Parade winners and crowns the 2010 Junior King & Queen.
The Jr. Court is selected from children 5-7 yrs of age who have been past participants in the Jr. Parade.
The Jr. King and Queen are selected by an interview process on the day of the Jr. Events (Feb.
9) at 12 pm. All children must be 5-7 years old and registered by number in the Junior parade to be eligible to be interviewed. Marching scouts and bands are not given numbers and do not compete in any category. Children are judged on poise and personality. This is not a talent or costume competition.
