The Edison Day of Discovery includes the Thomas Alva Edison Kiwanis Science and Engineering Fair, the Thomas A. Edison Inventors Fair, and a new addition, Discovery Village. Saturday, January 31st
12pm - 4:30pm Harborside Convention Center Free
The 52nd Annual Thomas Alva Edison Kiwanis Science and Engineering Fair and the Thomas A. Edison Inventors Fair showcase over 800 student finalists from elementary, middle and high schools in our surrounding four counties. The fairs consist of a Science Fair and an Inventors Fair. Previous years projects included the waistband threader, mosquito trapper, wet awake, sleep safe couch belt, ants-b-gone dog dish and the manatee locator. Students have the opportunity to be creative, and can turn challenging problems into unique inventions. Exhibits range from botany, computer science, mathematics, engineering, zoology, earth and space sciences, environmental sciences, medicine, health and physics.

Bring your family out from to view the science and invention projects at the Harborside Event Center then make sure to check out the new Discovery Village across the street in Centennial Park. This area will be filled with games, presentations, and educational exhibits brought in by a variety of science education organizations from around the state. You can also grab a bite to eat while you and your children experience Discovery Village at the Edison Day of Discovery.
